Mr. Richard was a three-year letterman in basketball and a captain in his senior year.  He also lettered in track and baseball.  From 1962-64, he was named All-District in basketball and added All-State honors in his senior season.  He won the state scoring title in 1962 and 1963 and finished second in 1964.  Over his career for the Tigers, he averaged 23 points per game.  Additionally, he was selected as the Holy Cross basketball MVP in the 1962, 1963, and 1964 seasons before moving on to play at USL.
