David Rowan earned three varsity letters in wrestling under Coach Ed Kavanaugh. He led the Tigers to the 1983 Division I State Championship -- the Tigers’ first wrestling title in 15 years. He was a two-time state champion on the mat winning in the 98-pound weight class as a junior and senior (1982,1983). David finished his career at Holy Cross with a 125-18-1 record, which was a school record for wins that lasted 12 years. He was named Wrestling team MVP his senior season at Holy Cross as one of six individual state title winners. David was named a Division II All-American in the 126-LB weight class in both 1989 and 1990 at Chico St. University in California.
