Buck Landry was a three-year letterman in football, wrestling and track and field. As a senior, he earned All-State honors in football. Landry was a three-time All-State wrestler, and served as a captain of Tiger football and wrestling teams. He would go on to become a three-year starter in football at Tulane, earned his PhD, and is the current President of the University of Holy Cross (formerly known as Our Lady of Holy Cross College)
