HC won two event titles at the 2023 LHSAA Region 3-5A Championship as the Tigers claimed gold in the 4x200 and 4x100 meter relays Wednesday evening. Five runners across five events qualified for the 2023 LHSAA Outdoor Track & Field State Meet at LSU on Saturday, May 6.
The Tigers 4x100-meter relay claimed their third consecutive Region 3-5A title. Landon Davis advanced to the state meet in the 800m running a time of 2:00.86. Freshman Michael Taylor stellar season ended at the regional championship as he threw 120-06 in the javelin to finish ninth.
As a team HC finished in fifth with 50 points.
