Two School Records Fall at the District 9-5A Championship

The Holy Cross track and field team competed in the District 9-5A Championship on Thursday afternoon. Joshua Brown broke the school record in the 100m, while Landon Davis set a new school record in the 800m. In addition to the records set, the Tigers qualified seven events through to the Region 3-5A Championship. 

Regional Qualifiers

  • Javelin - 4th - Michael Taylor - 153-10 (PR)
  • Long Jump - 4th - Ke'Rynn Smith - 20-3
  • 100m - Josh Brown - 2nd - 10.38 (SR)
  • 200m - Josh Brown - 1st - 21.23 (PR)
  • 4x100m - 3rd - Finn Martin, Koby Young, Smith, and Brown - 41.96
  • 1600m - Gage Baldassaro - 2nd - 4:26.27 (PR)
  • 800m - Landon Davis - 3rd - 1:55.68 (SR)
