The Holy Cross Football (1-0) team defeated the Chalmette Owls (0-1), 56-7, Friday evening at Bobby Nuss Stadium.
Friday marked the 51st meeting between the two teams dating back to 1967;Â consecutive since 1970.Â
"It was a well-earned win. These guys have been working very hard at practice and they deserved what they got tonight," said head coach Dominic Saltaformaggio. "They are really good Holy Cross men."
