The Holy Cross Tigers football team defeated the Belle Chasse Cardinals, winning 22-0 in Friday evening's jamboree at Bobby Nuss Stadium.
The Tigers got on the board early when
Jonah Weir blocked a punt, leading to a scoop and score by
Luke Appe. Holy Cross extended their lead just before halftime, with
Noel Mora successfully converting the point after attempt, making it 7-0 with 13 seconds left in the first half.
In the second half,
Kayden Andoh broke loose for a 45-yard rushing touchdown, followed by a two-point conversion by
Claude Johnson, increasing the Tigers' lead to 15-0.
Johnson capped off the scoring with a rushing touchdown of his own, and Mora added his second successful PAT of the night, sealing the Tigers' 22-0 shutout victory over the Belle Chasse Cardinals.
