The Holy Cross Football team (1-2) struggled early surrendering 31 points in the first half to rival Jesuit Blue Jays Friday night at Tad Gormley Stadium. In the 102nd meeting between the cross-town rivals, Jesuit bested Holy Cross 51-7.
Sophomore Koby Young the Tigers' lone scorer was found by fellow Sophomore Cole Canatella who threw a 50/50 ball while tripping 73-yards for Holy Cross' only touchdown.
Seniors Cole Baiamonte and Beau Verdin were named the Tigers student-athletes of the game. Baiamonte was honored as the Tigers' Scholar-Athlete while Verdin earned the Community Service Award.
