Mark Songy is entering his first year at Holy Cross.  He is veteran of the Catholic League with over 35 years of experience, serving as the Head Coach at Jesuit High School from 1992-96 and 2014-2019, and at Brother Martin High School from 1997-2001, earning honors as the Louisiana Coach of the Year in 1994, 1996, and 2014.  His 2014 Jesuit team won the Division I LHSAA State Championship.  Additionally, Songy has served as an assistant coach at Archbishop Shaw, Jesuit High School, and Brother Martin High School, as well. A graduate of Brother Martin High School, Louisiana State University, and a United States Army veteran, he will teach Theology at Holy Cross.  He and his wife, Jolene, have 3 daughters, Rachel, Caroline, and Lauren, and reside in Metairie.
