DEFENSIVE BACKS COACH
Entering his third year on staff at Holy Cross, Coach Thompson is a 2000 graduate and 2016 Athletics Hall of Fame Inductee. Thompson was a three-year letter winner in football and track and was an all-district, all-metro selection in 1999. His senior season, the Tigers advanced to the second round of the playoffs, losing a close game to Acadiana. Upon graduation from Holy Cross, Coach Thompson continued his academic and football career at Nicholls State University. A three-time 1st team All-Conference and two-time All-American selection, he was inducted into the Nicholls State Hall of Fame in 2012. After his senior season, Coach Thompson would go on to be drafted in the 5th round by the Jacksonville Jaguars. After an eleven-year professional career, which included three years in the NFL and eight years in Canada, he began his coaching career in 2016 with his alma mater, Nicholls State. The Colonels would go on to win two conference championships and would make the playoffs three times during his tenure there. Coach Thompson and his wife Sherrica have three beautiful children Cailyn (12), and Christopher “CJ” (8), Christian.
