The Holy Cross swim team advanced 11 events to the state finals on the first day of the Division II LHSAA State Swim Meet at the Sulphur Parks and Recreation Center. The team of Tristan Caffery, Ethan Turner, Billy DiPaola, and Daniel Long kicked things off for HC qualifying with the fastest time in the 200yd Medley Relay with a time of 1:42.13.

• 50yd Free - Korbin Heffler 9th (23.68)
• 100 Fly - Logan Beebe 2nd (51.20), Billy DiPaola 5th (54.08), Korbin  Heffler 12th (59.44), and Tristan Caffery 13th (59.66)
• 100yd Free - Daniel Long 2nd (48.79)
• 200yd Free Relay - Team of Long, Launey, Heffler, and Beebe 1st (1:31.14)
• 100yd Back - Billy DiPaola 2nd (55.62), Tristan Caffery 11th (59.52) 
• 100yd Breast - Ethan Turner 3rd (1:03.76) and Daniel Long 5th (1:04.64)
• 400yd Relay 4th (3:31.12) Team of Billy, Ethan, Korbin, and Drew

The final day of the 2023 Division II State Swim Meet is set for Saturday. The meet will begin at 4 p.m.
