The Holy Cross basketball team hosted Archbishop Rummel on Friday night for a catholic league game. The Tigers entered the contest 11-14 overall and earned their twelfth win of the season. The game required double overtime to decide, but the Tigers outlasted Rummel for a 50-40 victory in the Student Center.
Lionel Nelson led Holy Cross with 14 points, while Cash Pichon finished with 10.
Rummel led 11-6 at the end of the first period, Javian Neco drained at two at the buzzer to cut the lead to three.
HC earned their first lead of the night in the second period and held the lead into the break.
The game saw many lead changes before the Tigers closed the game with a 50-40 double-overtime victory on alumni night.
