NEW ORLEANS - The Holy Cross Tiger Football Team will scrimmage Isidore Newman on Thursday, August 19, 2021. The scrimmage is set for 5:30 p.m. at Michael Lupin Field. Thursday's scrimmage is open to the public. Please see the COVID-19 protocols provided by Newman below.

Newman COVID-19 Protocol

Given the context of COVID-19 and a recent mandate by the City of New Orleans, Newman has shared protocols and requirements for spectators at Newman athletic events. The recent mandate by the City requires either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID PCR test in order to attend athletic events. In order to enter a Newman Athletic Venue and watch Newman sporting events in person, all attendees who are 12 years of age and older must show either:

• Proof of Vaccination via 
  • LA Wallet App or SMART Health Card
  • An original, digital photograph, or photocopy of CDC Vaccination Card (both sides)
  • An official vaccine record issued by another state, a foreign nation, or the World Health Organization

OR

• Physical or electronic test results from a COVID PCR test indicating negative results within the past 72 hours

This new requirement will be enforced at the upcoming football scrimmage on Thursday, August 19, and anticipate this requirement to be in place for all subsequent games on Newman's campus. Newman asks that all attendees of their sporting events, both Newman parents and families (grandparents, extended family, and friends, etc.) as well as visitors from opposing teams comply with this city mandate. Newman gate workers will check for vaccination status along with scanning digital tickets to the event.
